Gardening For Wellbeing - Food Growing

When: Monday 12-3 pm

Where: Boiling Wells Ln, Bristol BS2 9XY

Who: Anyone aged 18-25

What: Growing edible plants of all different varieties at our conservation site, while looking at soil, preserving. Cooking, foraging

Will I need anything: Warm clothes, a coat, a drink, practical footwear


LGBTQ+ Gardening  - Growing medicinal and culinary herbs

When: Tuesday 12-4 pm

Where: Boiling Wells Ln, Bristol BS2 9XY

Who: LGBTQ+ 18-25

What: We will be maintaining the herb garden, exploring growing culinary and medicinal plants whilst exploring ways of using them and making things using natural materials

Weekly Boiling Wells Nature reserve Management

When: Friday 11-4pm

Where: Meet at Main farm site from 10:30

Who: Anyone

Group size: No maximum group size, this is an established volunteer day which already has anywhere between 5-15 people of a variety of ages, abilities and circumstances. All are welcome and no previous experience necessary!

What: We are going to be running outdoor sessions in nature reserve management, construction, gardening, woodwork, outdoor cooking, bush craft and nature connection

Will I need anything: Warm clothes, a coat, a drink


Green Farm Shop

When: Every Thursday 11-3pm. Starts on Thursday 7th February 2019

Where: St Werburghs City Farm main site and Boiling Wells site

Who: Anyone aged 18-25

What: A six week course building a wooden farm stand that will be used as pop up shop. The group will be creating the structure, preparing the ground works and making the products to sell in the shop

Group size: The maximum group size will be 6 people and two staff members

How: An opportunity to learn new skills in woodwork, building, fencing, using tools and also planning and making products and crafts such as bird boxes,  candle sticks, key rings, jams and chutneys and much more.
