Off the Record (BaNES) is being supported by St John’s Foundation to provide a free, confidential, and independent Listening Service for young people aged 10 to 25 through counselling and one-to-one listening support sessions. The young people we support face a range of issues which affect their lives such as abuse, anger, anxiety, bullying, depression, domestic violence, health issues, homelessness, relationship problems, self-harm, sexual ill-health and/or because they want something in their life to change. There is no other provider in the region offering anything similar.
This new Listening Services Admin and Support role will play a crucial role in organising and administering the Listening Service, which last year supported over 1000 young people. You’ll be managed by the Listening Services Lead, and work closely with and supporting the many volunteers that the service couldn’t operate without.
You will be working with children and young people and will need to understand the importance of working to safeguarding, confidentiality and equal opportunities policies.
You’ll be based from our office in Bath but will be required to work across Bath and North East Somerset and at venues outside of the Local Authority.
