Borderlands is recruiting a new Treasurer to oversee the financial affairs of the charity. This is a key position, playing a major part in supporting Borderlands.​

We are looking for someone with strong experience in finance and accountancy, a good understanding of charity finance and capability to lead and challenge where necessary to support the charity in its development.

You will:

  • Oversee the financial affairs of the organisation and ensure they are legal, constitutional and within accepted accounting practice.
  • Support the Director to report the financial position at Trustee meetings (balance sheet, cash flow, fundraising performance, etc.) and oversee the production of financial reports/returns, accounts and audits.
  • Work closely with the charity’s accountant and Borderlands staff to ensure proper records are kept and that effective financial procedures are in place.
  • Work with staff to oversee the production and approval of Borderlands’ annual budget at the last meeting of the financial year. 
  • Contribute to Borderlands’ strategy and direction at regular board meetings and finance subcommittee meetings.
