Interviews will be held on Monday 29 July and/or Thursday 1 August in Taunton, TA2 6HB. Please be available on both dates.
To manage and take responsibility for advocacy services contracted to local authorities in South Gloucestershire, BaNES and parts of Bristol.
As Area Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of advocacy service contracts which work with vulnerable adults. Advocacy disciplines include IMHA, IMCA, Care Act and IHCA. Services are expected to work to agreed advocacy principles and meet the requirements of local authority funding.
You will be responsible for a team of approximately 16 with direct line management responsibility for 3 or 4 Team Leaders. In the absence of a team leader you will be expected to directly manage the teams and therefore need to have, or quickly acquire, a working understanding of the advocacy disciplines and their legislative frameworks.
We’re looking for someone with energy and enthusiasm, proven experience of managing teams, a passion for delivering excellent services and a commitment to the belief that everyone has a right to be heard, have choice and control, to be safe from harm and to live the life they choose
