We have various activity clubs and carers groups with volunteering opportunities:
Carers Group Support - Bedminster/Southville
Once a month
Third Tuesday – Monthly 10:15am – 12:15pm
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys socialising and supporting carers. Our Bedminster/Southville carers group gives carers the opportunity for much needed break and to socialise with other carers.
The group meets once a month. Our Carers Support Officer would welcome a supportive volunteer who is able to: make teas and coffees; is a good listener; is able to make people feel welcome and relaxed; can show empathy to others.
Crafty Carers group
A monthly meeting group for carers. Must have an awareness of carers and their needs, be a good listener and empathic. Some skills in crafting would be great but not essential -resources will be provided.
Once a month, Second Monday.
This is a well-established group of carers who have a passion for all different sorts of craft activities. As a volunteer you would also share their passion, be able to suggest and assist in different crafty projects and generally be a support to the carers who attend. We would welcome anyone who feels they have what it takes to lead this small, friendly group.
For further information regarding the above opportunities please contact Marilyn Crump, Volunteer Co-ordinator, on 0117 958 9906 or e-mail MarilynC@carerssupportcentre.org.uk
