This is a pivotal role at learning disability charity Brandon Trust, with plenty of scope for development for the right person. You’ll join the fundraising team responsible for generating the voluntary income that supports our vision to see people with learning disabilities truly ‘living free’. We operate across southern England and London.
We’re embarking on a new fundraising strategy and this is a fantastic opportunity to play a key part in its success. You’ll be part of our team who are based at our head office in Patchway, Bristol.
You’ll take the lead on the strategy for developing and managing a robust income pipeline to meet the grant income target which is part of the overall fundraising strategy. You’ll look after all stages of the grant funding process, from research through to reporting, and will be the key relationship manager for existing and prospective funders.
Working closely with colleagues at all levels, you’ll create compelling strategic proposals as well as support operational teams to make applications locally.
You’ll have a proven track record of developing income pipelines and securing grants from a range of funders. In particular, you’ll have experience of securing major grant funding either as lead or senior member of a wider team. You’re adept at writing high quality, evidence-based proposals which include impact outcomes and detailed budgets.
You can successfully manage relationships with key representatives of grant funders and coordinate a range of internal stakeholders. You have experience of using fundraising databases or more general CRM systems.
With excellent interpersonal skills, you’re highly literate, with good numerical and analytical skills. Enthusiastic and flexible, you’re happy using your initiative and take a proactive approach to managing your work.
It’s highly desirable that you have a full driving licence and are willing to use your own vehicle for business; mileage expenses will be paid.
