Unseen is a charity, based in Bristol, providing support for people who have been identified as potential victims of Human Trafficking and Modern-Day Slavery. We focus on three main areas as we work towards a world without slavery;
Supporting survivors and potential victims of slavery; by providing access to a range of specialist services, enabling them to safely recover and develop independent lives.
Equipping stakeholders; by providing training, advice and resources to facilitate the identification and support of potential victims of slavery.
Influencing systemic changes; by using our experience and research to impact and inspire transformation across legislation, policy and society.
We are currently recruiting an experienced Support Worker for our men's safe house to assist with the delivery of our services, with a focus on engaging with the male clients and helping them to access the services and support they need.
You will be required to join a small, friendly and committed team that provides a high standard of service to our male client group within a 24/7 safe supported accommodation setting. As well as ensuring the safety of the men’s project and engaging with our clients in a therapeutic, person centred manner, your role will also involve regularly conducting and monitoring support and risk management plans and keeping clear accurate records. Following Health and Safety procedures and the monitoring of the accommodations intruder and fire alarm system is also essential.
Full on-going training, supervision as well as external supervision will be provided. Please note, this post is subject to satisfactory references, an Enhanced DBS check and a 6-month probationary period. At interview you will be asked to bring photo ID, current certificates, evidence of required qualifications, and will be asked about any gaps in employment and previous roles.
