TIGER Bristol Cooperative are seeking a volunteer to be part of their small team, for the role of Workshop Facilitator (5 hrs p/w).
You'll be part of a fun and innovative team where collaboration and cooperation is key to the work we deliver. If you're interested in making a big impact through creative and engaging workshops, feel passionate about tackling gender inequality and want to do something exciting and inspire young people then this role is for you!
TIGER (Teaching Individuals Gender Equality & Respect) is a grassroots workers co-op. We deliver original workshops and student-led art exhibitions to smash oppressive gender and LGBTQ+ stereotypes and nurture wellbeing, aspirations and attainment for young people.
Our current offering of workshops includes:
Porn and Healthy Relationships
Our 6-week Gender Equality Ambassador Programme (GEA)
We work predominantly in schools, colleges, universities and other youth settings but we also offer workshops and speakers for conferences and teacher training.
TIGER was conceived in 2012 and was run solely on volunteer power for the first three years. We operate under the workers cooperative model, however, we have always dreamed of having a team of paid staff. In 2015 we took on our first part-time paid member of staff, and now we have two. As a workshop facilitator you will help primarily with the delivery, planning and coordination of workshops with a particular focus on our Modern Masculinities Workshops. In addition to this, we are looking for someone with an interest in working cooperatively to play a part in the overall strategic running of the cooperative. The post is only open to male identifying applicants and is exempt under Schedule 9 Part 1 Equalities Act 2010.
We would particularly welcome applicants from BME communities, however this isn’t a requirement.
Please fill in the application form and return to us by 5pm on 28th August 2019, by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Interview dates: Wednesday 4th September 2019
