We are excited to invite applications for our new post of Therapist (BAME/ZAZI), which has been made possible by funding through the Tampon Tax Fund, in a bid led by Youth Access. This role will be part of the ZAZI Team which seeks to engage with and support young people from the BAME Community. In this post, you will help empower young people to engage in positive forms of wellbeing and build their mental health.
We are seeking a practitioner who is committed to and has experience of working with young people aged 16-25 and has a robust understanding of the broader issues that impact on young BAME women seeking the support of services. This role will also help to shape services within OTR to meet the needs of BAME young people, work into community spaces and with partners to bring mental health to the local population. You will be adaptive, creative and engaging within your therapeutic approach and have a passion for and strong commitment to community engagement as well as client autonomy and empowerment.
Days on the ZAZI project can be busy and varied so you’ll need to have strong organisational skills and the capacity to thoughtfully prioritise delivery in line with our outcomes and targets. Please see the Job Pack for further information about the role.
This post is only available to female applicants as permitted under the Equality Act 2010 and we encourage applications from those who identify as being from a BAME background.
