Bristol Volunteers aim to bring like-minded people together through volunteering and social action with opportunities to make new friends through community volunteering.

What is community volunteering?
We aim to help our local community in many ways by;

Promoting the overall benefits of volunteering
Organising fortnightly social events for people wanting to meet like-minded friends; sharing on volunteering experiences and future opportunities
Increasing partnerships with charities and local organisations
Helping charities and local organisations to efficiently recruit volunteers from our members
Planning exciting and participatory community volunteering events that bring people together, supporting local causes 

Trustees will responsible for informing the work of Bristol Volunteers by making suggestions for improvements or amendments.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Attending monthly board meetings for 2-3 hours
Working co-operatively with the Chief Executive and other Trustees to develop operational and strategic plans (fundraising, events, project management, administration, procedures, policy and the general running of the organisation)
Adhering to charity legislation, law and policy.
