YES is a small but well-established Bristol charity, looking for new trustees to join those currently on its Board. Each trustee is also a Director of the company.
The Youth Education Service (YES) received charitable status in 1974, as a charity whose primary purpose is to provide education, training, employment and community development initiatives for disadvantaged young people and adults. YES strives to tackle poverty and promote social cohesion by breaking down barriers to inclusion.
Detailed knowledge of the education sector is not necessary. What is essential is a passion for making a difference. We want to hear from different voices and to build a team of trustees with a wide variety of skills and experience, united in leading YES during a challenging period of development.
We are particularly interested in people with experience and expertise in the following areas:
We usually have approximately 8 X 2 hour meetings a year. In addition to this there may be other meetings regarding specific issues/developments.
