St Mary Redcliffe Church Lands Charity is an ancient charity which provides funding to the church for its maintenance, running and charitable works within the parish. It is separate from the church PCC but works closely with it. We are looking to expand our volunteer trustee/director board and would particularly welcome applicants under the age of 35 and/or women and/or from ethnic minorities and/or living or working in the Redcliffe parish. Applicants with skills in accounting/treasury, investment management, and real estate management would also be particularly welcome. However none of these is a pre-requisite and neither is membership of the Church of England, although directors must be sympathetic to its principles. This is a responsible role but involvement with this well-funded charity provides an opportunity both to assist with the continued preservation and use of a magnificent and famous church building and to help promote its charitable works in the fast-changing parish around it.
Director/trustees are expected to attend four principal meetings a year and may be asked to participate in other committees appropriate to their skills.
