DHI are excited to be recruiting a new team to provide education and training support across Bristol, South Glos, Bath and North East Somerset. We’re looking to recruit two WoEW Senior Employment & Skills Workers, one for Bath and one for Bristol.

This is a key post which will complement DHI’s existing services and support to people who are socially excluded. The post is funded by and will contribute to the delivery of wider partnership objectives under the Building Better Opportunities (BBO)/West of England Works (WoEW) programme which is managed by Weston College.

The team will support adults who are not in education, employment or training due to multiple and complex needs and/or access barriers. DHI team will focus primarily on supporting clients with a history of substance misuse and/or homelessness. DHI Employment & Skills Workers will work across DHI’s drug and alcohol treatments services, housing services and social prescribing programmes.

The Employment & Skills Team will be responsible for providing tailored and effective assessment, support planning and interventions to meet the identified education, training or employment (ETE) needs and goals of clients who face multiple barriers to accessing education, training and/or employment opportunities.
