Empowered Lives Bristol seeks to empower and transform the lives of men and women who experience the impacts of and have survived domestic violence and rape. The organisation has been created by survivors for survivors and aims to ‘fill in the gaps’ of existing service provision, through survivor led participation, peer support, education, empowerment and change.
Empowered Lives Bristol aims to save lives through providing support directly to survivors, raise awareness of topics linked to violence and create safe spaces for survivors’ voices to be heard.
Empowered Lives Bristol is looking to establish a board of Trustees, who will oversee and review all activities carried out by the charity, to oversee the general development of the charity, to finalise decisions and to escalate any safeguarding concerns. Trustees with also be encouraged to inform the work of Empowered Lives Bristol by making suggestions for improvements or amendments.
Empowered Lives is a small local charity based in Bristol that recently started in 2019. We are currently looking for a board of Trustees to help us grow and to initiate our plans of helping more survivors in our local community.
Trustee meetings will be held once every two weeks initially for the first three months of up to 2 hours.
If you are interested in helping us to develop and to support more vulnerable people in need, then we would love to hear from you!
