Contract Type:
Contract Details:
Details of Role:

akt are the national LGBTQ+ youth homelessness charity. Focused on prevention and early action we provide: safe homes, mentoring, training, advocacy and support to young people who are homeless or living in a hostile environment after coming out to their parents, care givers and peers.

On the evening of Thursday 12th March we’re hosting an informal volunteer open evening at our newly-opened service in Bristol!

This is an opportunity to find out more about akt in Bristol and our plans for the future. We’ll be looking to find out what skills people have and what you’d like to learn and develop whilst volunteering for akt.

Nationally, we currently have volunteers working 1-1 with young people as mentors, hosting young people in their homes either long or short term as part of the community host programme, helping with our fundraising efforts as event volunteers and spreading the word as an ‘akt champion’. We’re looking to set up similar roles in Bristol so come along to find out how to get involved!

Drop in any time between 6pm and 8.30pm.
