Details of Role: 


To provide enhanced wellbeing support (up to 12 weeks) to individuals in South Gloucestershire, helping them to make informed decisions regarding their mental wellbeing and to access additional support. 

To work proactively with project lead Southern Brooks Community Partnerships to receive and process referrals 

To attend clinical supervision

To attend service meetings as required. 

To maintain records of clinical work in line with service protocols, including using and recording all required evaluation metrics.

To attend training and continuous professional development relevant to this role.

To be open to participate in any other activities as agreed with the Deputy CEO. 

To familiarise and comply with the policies, procedures and service standards of Oasis-Talk. 

This role may involve occasional evening and weekend work.



Essential Criteria

2+ years experience of working with individuals with mental health and/or emotional wellbeing needs, and an understanding of best practice approaches to supporting individuals to improve their wellbeing

Proven experience of using a person-centred approach with service users

An understanding of the impact of mental health on all aspects of individual well-being in all contexts of day to day living.

Ability to work within a guided conversation model using an understanding of CBT based, low intensity work.

Able to assess risk and use person centred skills to respond to client presentation. 

Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing. 

Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with colleagues from other disciplines. 

Excellent IT skills

Experience of using a database to record client contacts and outcomes


Desirable Criteria

Knowledge of current professional issues, including safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults.

Recognised professional qualification in mental health,such as Counselling,CBT,  Mental Health Nurse 

Membership of relevant professional body

Knowledge of South Gloucestershire Primary and Secondary mental health services

Knowledge of South Gloucestershire VSCE groups working in mental health, debt, housing, or employment advice.

Full UK driving licence and access to a car
