Eastville Park is a beautiful Victorian park with a spacious and diverse landscape including an ornamental lake, the river Frome and areas of woodland. The park is full of wildlife including badgers, foxes, hedgehogs, butterflies and many rare species of wildflower. It is a space for everyone in the local community to enjoy and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The Friends of Eastville Park Group is a group of volunteers who seeking to maintain, conserve and enhance Eastville Park through conservation activities, maintenance work and fundraising.
We are looking for adventurous 16-25 year olds to join us to gain practical experience in conservation and land management. We also need help with social media, organising events and crowdfunding.
We meet regularly to undertake conservation tasks across Eastville Park this can include bramble bashing, tree planting, thinning shrubs, improving paths and building steps to make Eastville Park more accessible for everyone.
We are a friendly group of local volunteers who enjoy getting outside and working together to protect nature. We find it's great for our physical and mental health. We always have tea, coffee and biscuits too!
