Bristol Refugee Festival coordinates an annual programme of arts, cultural, community and educational events during June, bringing together incoming and host communities across the city to celebrate the contribution refugees and asylum seekers bring to Bristol, helping to create better understanding of why people seek sanctuary and facilitate successful integration and community cohesion. The Festival became a Community Interest Company (CIC) in 2017.
The Festival has recently been awarded 3 year funding from the National Lottery and is at an exciting point of developing its organisation and community programme. The role of Festival Director is a key role in leading this development, measuring impact and ensuring the successful outcomes of this activity.
