We have new exciting opportunities available for a Female Domestic Violence Group Work Programme Coordinator to join our team based in Bristol. You will join us on full time permanent basis working 37.5 hours per week and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £25,481 per annum and benefits.

About the role:

As our Female Domestic Violence Group Work Programme Coordinator, you will take a lead role in co-ordinating the development and delivery of a high-quality group work programme for female survivors of domestic abuse; comprising of 12 courses (Freedom Programme, CRUSH, Recovery Tool Kit) in dispersed venues across Bristol.

Key duties and responsibilities of our Female Domestic Violence Group Work Programme Coordinator:
- Promote and publicise the group work programme through building positive relationships with current, potential referrers and service users to ensure a steady flow of appropriate referrals
- Be responsible for the group work service referral care pathway
- Recruit and train volunteer facilitators when the need arises
- Provide support to the volunteer facilitators through the provision of peer support groups and/or 1-1 support
- Develop and manage appropriate monitoring arrangements regarding referrals, engagement and service user outcomes for each group programme
- Ensure facilitators maintain up to date, accurate, legible and accessible records of all work and contact with service users, other agencies/professionals and others
- Actively participate in regular one-to-one supervision and annual appraisals
- Attend and make a positive contribution to staff / team meetings and to participate in organisational training and development events as required

What we are looking for in our ideal Female Domestic Violence Group Work Programme Coordinator:

- Be strong, confident, enthusiastic and committed to women’s services
- Be trained as a freedom Programme facilitator and have extensive experience of providing group work to women who have experienced domestic /sexual violence
- Demonstrate the ability to lead, support and manage group work facilitators ensuring the delivery of high quality support
- Experience of delivering training
- Be experienced in managing volunteers
- Be knowledgeable about the issues, barriers, impact and support needs of women and children who have experienced domestic abuse and how best to support survivors
- Demonstrate the ability to delegate, motivate and direct individuals
- Ensure the team adopts a victim centred approach, focussing on safety and recovery
- Committed to working with service users in an empowering way
