The Bristol Yoga Roots Project (BYRP) was set up by a group of yoga teachers who want to offer inclusive yoga to communities in Bristol. At BYRP we aim to share the practice of yoga out into the community to those who are often less likely to access studios but in many ways would benefit the most from the mental, physical and social benefits of yoga.
Our approach is to reach out to communities who may not easily access yoga currently due to barriers including physical, economic, cultural and social. To further support this aim, BYRP is dedicated to promoting conversations in the wider Bristol yoga community around accessibility, diversity, anti-racism, de-colonisation, accountability and the importance of ongoing learning & reflection.
BYRP are looking to recruit another board member to help guide best practice and support us in fulfilling our vision and goals. The commitment is a minimum of 4 meetings per year and for the forseeable future will take place online.
Please see full job advertisement attached.
BYRP is an inclusive organisation and we openly welcome people from all aspects of life. In particular, applicants from under-representated communities within the yoga and wellness world, such as those who identify as black or brown, living with a disability and/or LGBTQI+.
