Bristol Refugee Festival coordinates a programme of arts, cultural, community and educational events throughout the year with a celebratory Festival in June. We aim to bring together incoming and host communities across the city to celebrate the contribution refugees and asylum seekers bring to Bristol, helping to create better understanding of why people seek sanctuary and facilitate successful integration and community cohesion. The Festival became a Community Interest Company (CIC) in 2017.
Having been awarded 3 year Lottery funding, the Festival is at an exciting point of development and we are now looking for a Treasurer to join our board of Directors to specifically oversee the financial affairs of the organisation, but also to contribute to strategic vision and development of the organisation.
Please read the attached role description.
If you believe that you have skills/experience and commitment to join us, then please send a CV and covering letter (max 1 side A4) to firstname.lastname@example.org outlining why you wish to be considered, what relevant experience, skills and knowledge you could bring and how you believe you could contribute to the success of the organisation.
We welcome applications for anyone regardless of race, gender, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation, age (18+).
We would encourage applications from persons with lived experience of the asylum process.
