Supporting our community
Avon Counselling and Psychotherapy Service (ACPS) is a small, well-established charity that aims to make therapy widely-accessible to the local community. To support this aim we provide low-cost therapy to those unable to pay the full fees. We work with people on a long-term basis and have a bank of skilled clinicians able to support the growing needs of the local community which have been exacerbated due to Covid-19.
ACPS is in the midst of significant change with the aim to build a robust, future-proof organisation that can better serve the community over the coming years. As such we are recruiting for a number of Board member positions to help implement and deliver our ambitious plans. The current vacancies include:
We have job descriptions available for all roles to provide you with more information about the roles and skills we are looking for.
Although not a big organisation, we are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our small team and willing to support the next step in our evolution. We provide a caring and supportive environment and the current opportunities will enable candidates to fully support the organisation to flourish.
The average time commitment is 2-3 hours per month. No experience of counselling or psychotherapy is required and we welcome interest from anyone with a passion in supporting mental health and well-being within the community. This is an unpaid position although expenses will be remunerated. Please note that all meetings at being conducted virtually until it is safe to meet in groups.
