Unseen is looking for an inspirational and forward-thinking leader who can steer a multi-disciplinary board of trustees to lead Unseen and ensure it can continue its vital work to combat and eradicate Modern Slavery.

The Chair of Trustees will be committed to using their talents, network and drive to further develop the success of the charity. The role includes event-based work such as board meetings and visiting our projects as well as ad hoc work such as giving advice and connecting with networks.

The Chair must share Unseen’s core values and guiding vision to end modern slavery. They must have the ability to focus on strategy, tactics, financials, people dynamics and problem solving. The Chair will facilitate the board in its governance role and chair board meetings, draft agendas and ensure the board has what it needs to make sound decisions.

The right individual will be a strong leader and take on an ambassadorial role. The Chair will work closely with the CEO, providing support and challenge. The Chair will also be a member of the Finance Committee (finance background not required).

This is an exciting and stimulating opportunity for somebody who enjoys leading and working collaboratively with other leaders. The Chair must be willing and able to travel to meet in the Bristol, Bedfordshire and London areas.
