Bi-lingual Polish and English-speaking Helpline Worker (*Female only)

Opoka is looking for an experienced individual to join our Helpline team and to be able to communicate fluently in Polish and English.
Opoka has obtained COVID-19 Emergency Funding from several local and national sources to promote the availability of our Helpline and Live-Chat on Skype services to Polish women who are victims of domestic violence and abuse. This is all the more important during the pandemic. If you are experienced in supporting people in crisis, have an empathetic and person-centred focus, and want to make a difference for those experiencing domestic abuse, then contact us to talk about how you can be part of our wonderful team!
Part-time: 16-20 hours per week Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm
Temporary contract: until 31 March 2022 with possibility to extend, it will depend on available funding.
Salary: £11 per hour
Opoka is making every effort and working hard to continue to provide much-needed support to people affected by domestic violence. Our helpline provides emotional support, advice, information and guidance to people experiencing domestic violence.
