Bristol City Council (BCC) has published its Draft Young People’s Housing and Independence Pathway Plan. The formal consultation period runs until 14th October 2016.
The draft plan includes proposals for re-commissioning preventing homelessness services for care leavers, vulnerable young people, and vulnerable young parents aged 16 – 21 years old. The aim is to have new services in place by July 2017.
The draft Young People's Housing and Independence Pathway Plan is available here: https://www.bristol.gov.uk/housing/commissioning-homelessness-prevention-services. The final plan will be published by December 2016.
BCC would like to invite stakeholders to a series of sessions to inform its approach and help shape supported housing services for Care Leavers, vulnerable young people at risk of homelessness, and vulnerable young parents:
The stakeholder workshop on Friday 23 September will focus on the Youth Housing Hub; BCC needs your help and expertise to design this key element of the positive pathway for young people. If you are involved with care leavers, vulnerable young people at risk of homelessness and vulnerable young parents please go along.
