Bristol Local Food Fund is looking for seven people with lived experience of food insecurity who will decide how £60,000 of funding is given out to community food projects across the city that are at the forefront of tackling this issue.

The Panel will meet in person over five sessions and will be supported by a professional facilitator, who will guide the group through a grant-making process - talking through the different challenges and questions to decide how to most effectively award the funding.

Panel members will be paid (or compensated the equivalent amount) for their time at a rate of £15 per hour, and they can cover travel expenses and other reasonable expenses to ensure everyone can participate.

There are some guideline criteria for panel members - it is important that they are passionate about tackling food insecurity, have some lived experience of food insecurity, and are representative of Bristol - such living in particular areas or from demographics that are disproportionately impacted by food insecurity.

Do you know someone who would be suitable to join the Panel? Please read the panel description below and if someone in your community springs to mind, then please ask them to complete the application form below. The deadline to apply is Monday 25th July.  You can also nominate someone for the Panel if you think they are suitable, and you have their permission to do so.
