Fund to support suicide-prevention services

The government has launched a to help suicide prevention services meet increased demand from the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Suicide Prevention Grant Fund will make funding available to enable voluntary community and social enterprise organisations in England that support suicide prevention to set up new projects or expand or sustain current services. The fund will focus on high-risk groups who have struggled most during the pandemic, such as people with a pre-existing mental illness, children and young people, NHS and social care staff, and people in contact with the criminal justice system.
