New advice drop-in sessions launched to support community groups

17 November, 2021

Are you a new organisation or a local community group in Bristol? Voscur can give you advice and information on funding and training. Come and tell us what you need to make progress and we will provide advice and guidance to help you achieve your aims.

Voscur's Community Outreach Coordinator, Clare Daley, is running a series of drop-in sessions in community venues across Bristol to provide face-to-face support to people for people who are looking for advice.

Clare recently met with coordinators of the North and East Bristol Enterprise Support project who are providing fully funded business training and support to social entrepreneurs in the north and east of the city, and with the School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE) which is running free workshops for people who are based in South Bristol and have an idea to improve their community.

  • For more info about the North and East Bristol project visit their website or send them an email.
  • The SSE sessions are running throughout November and December and there is an online-only option in the new year. Find out more, sign up or get in touch with the team hereYou don’t need any prior experience or qualifications for either of these opportunities just an idea and some enthusiasm!

If you would like to have some time with Clare to talk about these opportunites in more details or discuss other sources of support and advice she is running a session in Southmead on Tuesday 23 November, 12:30 to 14:30 at the Greenway Centre, Doncaster Road, Southmead, BS10 5PY.

If you can't make the session but want information on anything from money matters, leading your organisation, making an impact, planning for the future, voice and influence, or partnership and collaboration, then please email clare@voscur.org or call 0117 909 9949.
