Whether your organisation or group is big or small, flourishing or struggling – or just carrying on more or less as normal – Third Sector Trends wants to hear from you.

More than 3,000 voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations across England and Wales have already submitted their data this year. By taking part they have helped to build a picture of what is happening locally.

Survey responses will build a picture of how organisations and groups work and what they achieve. This information is then shared to help funders make good decisions on how to invest in the sector.

Taking place every three years, Third Sector Trends began in 2008, and is the longest running study of the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector in the UK.

The study is widely used by local authorities, combined authorities, NHS partnerships and VCSE infrastructure organisations in their strategic work and policy formulation.

Results have also made it possible to undertake in-depth analysis of aspects of sector structure and activity which have previously been neglected. This includes, for example, issues associated with diversity in sector leadership, and how the VCSE sector works with the private sector.

The survey will only take about 10 minutes to complete. All answers are securely stored completely anonymously and confidentially.
