A funding event for South Bristol-based community projects as part of Voscur's 'South Bristol on the Map' project.

Join us at this fun, interactive event, run in partnership with the Big Lottery Fund, which will see a range of fantastic community projects giving the elevator pitch of their lives in an attempt to secure funding of between £300 and £10,000 to support their great work! This new and dynamic style of funding event is about two things - live pitches and putting the power to award funding in the hands of local people who really understand what is most needed in their communities. Bring your work to life for attendees and be in with a chance of winning their votes and walking away with up to £10,000! 

Funding can be sought for a range of different things, as long as they support your overall project. These include paying for equipment, one-off events, training costs, volunteer expenses, running costs and transport.

To be eligible, your project will need to be based in South Bristol and the selection process will prioritise smaller organisations. Call us if you aren’t sure whether or not you qualify.

Step 1
It's easy to apply -  download and complete the application form and return it to info@voscur.org, or by post to the address at the bottom of the form. The deadline for applications is Thursday 24th May 2018.
We’ll be holding a workshop to help you think about what to apply for, and tell you more about how the grant will work, on Wednesday 9 May 2018, 10am - 12pm.

Step 2
If you are shortlisted, we'll let you know by Thursday 14 June 2018. You will then be invited to present at our 'Pitch Your Project' event. Prior to this, we will be holding a special pitching workshop, for anyone who would like some help with their presentation!

Step 3
You will then deliver your presentation to a live audience at the “Pitch your Project” event on Thursday 5 July 2018 (further details to be confirmed shortly). Audience members will vote for their favourite projects; the ones they feel will really benefit their community. If your project is successful, you could be awarded a Big Lottery grant of up to £10,000!
