VCSE organisations that employ fewer than 250 people will be able to access a new telephone advice service about the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This service will open from 1st November, 2017.

The service will be run by the Information Commissioner’s Office and forms part of a package of tools and resources available to organisations to help them prepare for the huge changes that will come with GDPR - the replacement for the current Data Protection Act. This new law will come into effect on 25 May 2018.

Please note: This law will affect all VCSE organisations. The hotline is mainly for rudimentary questions and is not a substitute for forming a proper strategy, checks and balances. If you have not started planning and implementing changes, you should do so now. For more information and for guidance on getting started, click here.
