Under the UK Government's new Counter Terrorism and Security Act, you may now have a legal duty in your work to 'prevent people from being drawn into terrorism'.

Please see Government resources relating to the Prevent Strategy. We are aware that there is some controversy in relation to the Prevent agenda but as this now forms part of Safeguarding and is being increasingly written in to public sector contracts then it is essential that VCS organisations are aware of what this might entail for their own service delivery. It is also useful to consider how you communicate what you are doing to comply with the Prevent agenda to those who access your services and their families.

This link takes you to a range of resources that includes policy, guidance and communication tools.
