Bristol Mediation is offering a nationally accredited training programme in mediation and conflict resolution skills.  This is a unique opportunity to benefit from our highly valued training.  The training will take place over five days meeting each day at 9.15 to start promptly at 9.30am and finish 4.30pm. It is an essential course requirement that trainees attend all course dates. You will also need to undertake some private study.

 

Course Dates:  22nd, 23rd, 24th November & 5th, 6th December 2016

Cost per person £850.00

 

Venue:                St Werburgh's Community Centre, Horley Rd Bristol 

 

The cost of each place includes all course hand-outs and assessment materials, accreditation and registration with OCN (Open College Network), all trainer and venue hire costs, refreshments and lunch each day throughout the training.

'Creative Cuppas'
This is our first of our monthly 'Creative Cuppa' events at Spike Island, an opportunity to meet volunteers and find out about volunteering at Spike Island, eat cake, chat and make craft.
You can come for the whole session or just a part of it
Thursday 15th Sept 5.30-7.30 booking is advisable, the session is Free!
This session will be led by one of our volunteers Harriet who will be sharing with us Harvest Moon Crafts. Every Month we will have different craft and creative activities

About Elm Tree Farm: Elm Tree Farm is a 35-acre farm clist to Bristol City Centre. We provide employment support and holiday clubs to people with learning disabilities and autism.

School Holiday Club - for young people aged 11-18 years with mild to moderate support needs.

Animal care! Nature scavenger hunts! Wood work! Cookery! Nature arts and crafts! Make new friends! Build confidence!

The Hive is a local charity based at 322 Two Mile Hill Road in Kingswood, Bristol, who work with adults and young people with learning disabilities across Bristol and South Glos.

The Hive will be running an 8 week self advocacy course for adults and young people with learning disabilities.

Creative Careers: Create a Comic/Zine

Young people will get to work with local Media Co-operative The Bristol Cable at their studios on Stoke Croft to create a Comic/mini magazine (zine) that will be published and disrupted throughout Bristol.

It’s a great opportunity for young people who have an interest in any of these - art, illustration, cartooning, design, journalism and media and will be ideal for those who have an interest in having a voice and challenging the news and media.

·         6 week long program delivered every Tuesday and Wednesday from the 19th Jan – 10th Feb

·         The course is completely free, lunch and travel costs are covered

·         Opportunity to gain a Bronze Arts Award

·         Additional English and Maths support provided by YES

·         Progression 121 support provided, helping young people back into education, training and employment

You will upcycle and customise clothes to bring them back to life whilst using a variety of different sewing techniques.

*(£50 for the term, free bursary places are also available so just ask)
