Supporting Voluntary and Community Action
Established in 1997, African Initiatives is an international development charity based in Bristol, UK. Working with local partners in Africa we support marginalised individuals and communities to exercise their rights. Over the last 16 years we have built trusting and equitable relationships with civil society groups in Tanzania and Ghana through programmes in girls’ education, women’s rights, sustainable livelihoods and access to health rights. By finding African solutions to African problems, we have successfully changed the lives of thousands of women, men and children for the better.
