Supporting Voluntary and Community Action
The Youth Education Service (YES) provides informal learning opportunities to young people and adults whose needs are not being met by other agencies. YES complements other providers by targeting "hard to reach" groups and offering a personal, individual and accessible service which can be a first step (back) into education/training. YES specialises in the Essential Skills of English and Maths, and also supports students learning basic ICT skills and Employability. Accreditation is available from Entry level 1 to level 2. YES can also support other voluntary/community groups in addressing Essential Skills issues.
