Listen up! This stuff works, shares the experience of the
NRLP. After running a successful pilot in 2006,Voscur developed and ran the NRLP from March
2007 to March 2008. The programme delivered a range of training, events and
visits for residents and workers of the eight Neighbourhood Renewal areas
across Bristol.

It complemented existing Neighbourhood Renewal projects by targeting support for residents through a programme of personal development and learning opportunities. These aimed to improve people's confidence and their ability to engage, speak out and speak up about issues affecting their neighbourhoods.

On the 27th February 2008 the NRLP ran "Got Something to Say? Where Next? " an event to explore:

  • next steps for the NRLP.
  • what support and recources would be available after March 2008 to enable people to influence decisions.

Neighbourhood Renewal Learning Plan 2006

In December 2005 The Bristol Partnership appointed Voscur to develop the Neighbourhood Renewal Learning Plan. The intention was to enable everyone involved in Neighbourhood Renewal to develop essential skills and knowledge and to provide an opportunity for learning for everyone who wants to partcipate in Neighbourhood Renewal.

The Learning Plan was delivered between March and July 2006. Voscur was commisioned to undertake an evaluation of the Learning Plan. This evaluation has informed the planning, structure and content of Voscur's Neighbourhood Renewal Learning Plan in 2007 (see above).
