The role:

An an exciting new role for BDP, based within our Assertive Engagement & Early Intervention Team, you will be working to reduce drug-related deaths by widening access to Naloxone amongst people who use drugs in Bristol, as well as amongst professionals who work within Bristol’s drug & alcohol services and partner agencies. With the emergence of synthetic opioids in the UK drug supply, this role comes at a crucial time to protect the lives of people who use drugs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering a Naloxone training programme for service users and professionals in Bristol, including a ‘training for trainers’ programme.
  • Developing systems to monitor Naloxone distribution, training and impact.
  • Identifying opportunities for growth in out Naloxone provision and developing innovative harm reduction strategies in response to changing drug markets.

What we are looking for:

  • Strong engagement & service development skills, demonstrating flexibility, persistence and imagination in engaging service users.
  • An understanding of contemporary issues surrounding drug and alcohol.
  • Excellent organisational skills, including managing and prioritising your own workload.
  • Experience of effective collaboration, partnership working and building relationships for the benefit of service users.
