The role:

Lead on corporate governance for the directorate working with the governance team, and more widely across the organisation, in relation to assurance, policies, procedures, documentation, and processes, ensuring deadlines are met. Be the initial ‘go to’ person in the team for IT queries and produce high quality written work with an eye for detail.

Although not an exhaustive list, key responsibilities include:

  • Lead on provide governance support through coordination of board questions and responses.
  • Co-ordinate training for the Directorate and coordinate the management of Development software licences, updates, and implementation of new systems and processes.
  • Manage and coordinate with the Communications team the Development Directorate communications internally and externally.
  • Support with coordination of internal audit actions and risk mitigation and tracking.
  • Produce documentation, presentations and email oversight as required.
  • Support the homes leadership with complaints and KPI data management.
  • Be the Directorate’s IT champion, liaising with the IT and Data team to drive improvements within IT and Data.

For this role we are looking for individuals who have:

  • A- level education or equivalent experience.
  • Working knowledge of corporate governance within a housing association.
  • Experience of working with leadership teams providing support and effectively challenging.
  • Experience of presenting information in a variety of formats to a wide variety of groups and able to collate and analyse data and produce reports.
  • Experience of dealing with enquiries/complaints from the general public.
  • Experience of providing high level administrative support, including efficient record management.
  • Excellent communication skills with a high standard of written and oral communication
  • Excellent IT skills including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and presentation tools – enable to translate ideas into compelling presentations.
