The Harbour seeks a book keeper to keep our financial records in order and to reconcile income and expenditure. 

The role is very part time, approximately half a day per month is needed.  It includes paying cheques, recording income and expenditure on Sage accounts, reconciling all records of payments and income received, and generating reports for the staff and trustees. 

It would suit a self-employed book keeper with capacity to take on another client.

A sessional role for about 6 occasions per year amounting to about 30 hours work per year.
Description: 

A person who will take accurate written minutes of the Board's main meetings.  There are about 6 meetings per year and the person will attend each meeting, take notes, and then write up the minutes afterwards to a standard acceptable to the Chair of the Board of Directors.

The meetings are currently usually on the last Tuesday of each odd numbered month, between 4.30-6.30pm, at the Vassall Centre, Gill Avenue, Fishponds, BRISTOL, BS16 2QQ.  The draft minutes are expected to be received by the Chair within a week of the meeting.

We will be looking for :-

- people with previous experience of taking minutes of meetings or of similar tasks;

- people who can produce minutes accurately including spelling and grammar;

- ability to treat information confidentially;

- ability to produce the minutes in Microsoft Word and to email them to the Chair and CEO;

- some flexibility in being able to attend meetings (desirable, not essential).

Bristol Green Doors promotes the uptake of domestic energy efficiency and low carbon retrofitting. We do this through open-homes events, where householders open their homes, and discuss what they have done and the benefits. Our next event is on the weekend of 17-18th March 2012.

We’re looking for a bright, motivated and mature individual who shares our passion and enjoys working with people to join us as our volunteer coordinator. The key objectives are to build and manage a team of volunteers to support the householders on the weekend and the promotion of the event in general and to develop the profile of Bristol Green Doors through communities and private sector to attract more visitors to our event and encourage collaboration.
