Bristol City Council has launched a consultation on parents, carers and young people’s experiences of the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) system in Bristol.
The consultation aims to find out what they would like to see improved and what is working well to inform much-needed changes to the system.
It consists of two online surveys, one for parents and carers of children and young people with SEND, and a version for young people with SEND to complete. The surveys will be open until 20 March 2020.
The survey will result in a report that sets out its findings and how they will be used to improve all areas of the SEND system in Bristol. The surveys will be run every six months to make sure that the actions are having a positive impact and improving the experience of all children and young people with SEND and those of their parents and carers.
