About Sparks
Sparks is a department store with a difference. It's a vibrant, positive venue where visitors can explore what a greener, fairer and more creative future looks like. Sparks brings organisations and individuals from across the city together to pilot new ways to better serve our community and address the climate, ecological and cost of living crisis. We'd love you to get involved in this unique project located in the heart of Bristol, in the old M&S building on Broadmead. Find out more.
We’re building a team of volunteers to help make Sparks happen.
"The positivity and sense of community was radiating in Bristol today. It was lush to be part of the volunteering team, what a warm and friendly bunch!" - Sam, Sparks volunteer
Re-use department volunteers
We’re looking for regular volunteers to help in the Department of Reuse & Resources. The re-use shop curated by Emmaus Bristol offers a treasure trove of retro, vintage and upcycled furniture, electricals, homewares, and clothing providing people with the chance to find a one off piece and support people out of homelessness.
You will be helping run the shop, using the till, speaking to people who visit and could include fixing, making and repairing.
The re-use department is open Mon 11-6, Wed 11-6, Thu 11-8, Fri 11-6, Sat 11-6 & Sun 11-5.
We're particularly keen to find regular volunteers who can help on Mondays, Saturdays, and Thursday evenings (6 - 8pm).
Visit our volunteering page, complete the quick form, and we'll be in touch. Thank you!
