We are excited to advertise a new opportunity to join our Specialist Community Forensic Team. SCFT is a Multi-Disciplinary Team that focus on support people in secure mental hospitals in their transition to the community. Equality, Diversity and Inclusion are central to our work. We are looking for:

Someone who is passionate about mental health and helping others.

Someone who is able to connect with people who have been hospitalized, struggled with substances misuse and other complex needs.

Someone that can multitask and work well in a clinical professional team with protocols and forms, but also being flexible to adapt to a client’s needs and can build meaningful professional relationships.

Someone passionate about mental health and who can support Second Step’s work bridging the gap between primary and secondary mental health services.

 

The successful candidate will;

Understand the different aspects involved in supporting people with complex needs to access the right kind of support at the right time.

Demonstrate an understanding of the mental health sector and landscape, including knowledge of appropriate services and organisations.

Have some knowledge of coaching and motivational interviewing techniques used to support and enable healthier behaviours with clients.

Be able to offer personalised support, advice and guidance to individual clients with a focus on co-produced individualised interventions.

Be able assess and adapt to varying degrees and complexities of risk.
