What is this course about?
The course will focus on the key areas of performance and absence management and will look at how leadership and communication skills can support this work. We will also touch on the issues surrounding disciplinary procedures and health and wellbeing.
What will you learn?
1. Be able to identify the key challenges and processes in effective line management including risks, performance management, absence management and disciplinaries.
2. Understand how effective leadership and communication skills underpin best practice.
3. Be able to conduct best practice supervision meetings; understand how supervision fits in the wider picture of line management and staff development.
