The Women’s Budget Group in partnership with Bristol Women’s Voice is delighted to invite you to attend a 1-day workshop bringing together key women’s organisations and economic development experts to ensure that economic development initiatives in the West of England region deliver for women.

The workshop will focus on two major initiatives – the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and Temple Quay Enterprise Zone (TEZ). The LEP and TEZ are receiving significant investment. However, to date planning has been largely ‘gender blind’ and it is vital to ensure this investment works to reduce women’s economic inequality and promotes gender equality.

This workshop is chance to engage with key decision makers and be part of the plan of action to ensure economic development delivers for women. In the morning and early afternoon, women’s groups, academics and activists will come together to discuss what the LEP and EZ can deliver for women and to develop an action plan for engaging with representatives of the LEP and EZ. In the afternoon, LEP and EZ representatives will join the workshop to provide an update of their plans and engage in dialogue.
