Bristol Women’s Voice is once again hosting its fantastic FREE flagship annual event to celebrate International Women’s Day, at City Hall on Saturday 2 March from 10 am – 5 pm.

Everyone is welcome so bring your partners, friends, families and people from the community. There is something for everyone, with over 50 activities showcasing women speakers, organisations and accessible activities that cover movement, art, film, debate, sport, employment, wellbeing and more.

Our International Women’s Day Celebration mobilises more than 300 Bristol women volunteering to make this event truly special.

City Hall is a fully accessible location and to make the event open to all, there will be a creche, interpretation and BSL. FirstBus have also donated free bus passes, available from info@bristolwomensvoice.org.uk.

Panel discussions will include Global Feminisms, Women in the Built Environment, Women and Health, the Caring Economy as well as Breaking the Barriers to Women in Sports. Speakers confirmed so far include Bristol Rovers, Bristol Bears, and West of England Mayor Dan Norris.

You can learn to make a podcast with Ujima Radio, get involved with Black Women’s Theatre with Breathing Fire, take part in armchair yoga, get involved in crafting as protest or have your voice heard at the open mic space or the older women and the younger women’s forums. There really is something for everyone.

Bristol Women’s Voice works to make women’s equality a reality in Bristol through campaigning, connecting, and celebrating.
