Invitation: Money Entitlement Event
10.00 am to 12.00 noon on Tuesday 1 October 2019
at Hartcliffe Community Centre, Hareclive Road, BS13 0JW
I’m often asked about tax credits, pensions and benefits - especially since the roll out of Universal Credit. While many people rightly claim what they are entitled to, some people miss out. Often this is because they are not fully aware of what they could receive. The rules change from time to time and it can be hard to stay up-to-date.

As Bristol South’s MP, I want to help people I represent to claim what they are entitled to, having contributed to society through taxes, caring for others and so on. I’ve organised this free event to give you the chance to talk to local experts over a cup of tea or coffee.

People from Bristol Citizens Advice, South Bristol Advice Services, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and the council’s Welfare Rights & Money Advice Service will be there to answer any questions and give you the information you need.

I’ve been running these events for a few years now and have helped people claim tens of thousands of pounds: money they were entitled to but had not received.

Please do pass this invitation on to neighbours, family or friends – everyone is welcome. I will be there if you want to chat about anything with me as your local MP. There is no need to book a place, just come along.

I hope that this is of interest to you and look forward to seeing you there.

Best wishes,

Karin Smyth MP

How to book:

Open to everyone. No charge, no booking - just a free cuppa to drink while you look around.
