The Peer Partnership are looking to provide peer support for women experiencing menopause in Bristol. Due to the medical, professional and social impacts of menopause on those experiencing it, it is important for women to have access to support to prioritise their own health and wellbeing if needed.

We are looking for focus group participants who:

• Are currently experiencing menopause symptoms,
• Have previously experienced menopause symptoms,
• Are willing to be open and honest about their experiences and the obstacles and barriers they have faced,
• Want to see new and innovative options for support that put lived experience forward.
• Are over 18.

Our proposal for peer support for women experiencing menopause is intending to provide:

1. Menopause Workshops - These workshops will be led by lived experience peers and medical professionals to provide information about menopause, symptoms, the impacts of symptoms, and treatment and support options.
2. Peer Support Groups - These support groups will be led by peer facilitators and provide a space for women experiencing menopause to share experiences and coping strategies, discuss the barriers and obstacles they are facing, and explore treatment options.
3. One-to-one Mentoring - Our mentoring will provide individual support for women struggling to manage the symptoms and impacts of menopause on a one-to-one basis, to explore barriers and work towards achievable goals in managing the menopause independently.
