The Role of Volunteers in Social Care for Older People

Drawing upon findings from the ERVIC Project (Exploring the Role of Volunteers In Care settings for older people), this event will provide an opportunity to exchange ideas about the challenges and opportunities associated with volunteer roles in social care settings for seniors in South West England.

The workshop is aimed at volunteer coordinators, commissioners of adult social care and providers and managers of social care organisations. It will be chaired by Dr.Agnes Bezzina and will cover:

  • How volunteers are contributing to social care

  • The challenges of involving volunteers

  • How best to work with volunteers

Voscur will also be delivering a workshop titled ‘Measuring the Value of Volunteering’.

Lunch will be provided at the end of the event.

Please note that there is no parking available on site.

There is a limited amount of on road parking (payment at meter) near the Southville Centre which is available for up to 3 hours. Attendees with a blue disabled parking badge can park in these spaces without a time limit.
