Dusty Kennedy │National Partnership Lead │Public Health Wales

and

Ellie Worthington │ ACEs Crime and Justice Coordinator │Public Health Wales

In this free seminar Dusty and Ellie will share how Public Health Wales are responding to Adverse Childhood Experiences through awareness raising and the introduction of trauma informed practice in policing and also in both community and secure youth/adult justice.

During their talk they will discuss their approach to operationalising trauma-informed practice in the criminal justice service and compare it to the focus being taken by the police.  Dusty and Ellie will also explore the trauma-informed practice elements of these approaches and look at how the CJS partnership in Wales has worked to embed this approach in youth justice and also how they are starting to do similar for those that work with adults.
