Your maternity rights: tackling maternity discrimination

Date/Time:
Saturday, 28 July, 2018 - 10:30 to 11:30
Location:
The Flamingo Center, 175 Southmead Road, Bristol, United Kingdom
Cost:
FREE
Organised/hosted by:
Bristol Women's Voice

Join us for a FREE interactive session which will give women and their partners an overview of their maternity rights and what they should expect from their employers. Bristol Women's Voice will use real-life examples to explain your rights while pregnant, while on maternity leave and when returning to work. There will be time for women to share their experiences and we will signpost to organisations that can offer explicit legal advice.

The event is part of the wider Bristol Women's Voice Maternity Discrimination Project; which aims to provide disadvantaged women with access to information on their legal rights and help reduce financial and emotional stress caused as a result of maternity discrimination. The project aims to reduce the number of women losing their jobs as a result of maternity discrimination and help women return to work following maternity leave.
